A photo I snapped at Cafe Norden in Copenhagen, Denmark

Flokati, Fur and Faux fur have taken the decorating world by storm for sometime now. With the cold winters here in New England I love these touches throughout a home. You just want to walk over and cozy up. Last fall I was in Copenhagen, Denmark vising my daughter who was studying abroad. The extent of fur I saw when I was there was amazing, and I love how the Scandinavians mix it with a sparse decor. It looks natural and organic and has no fuss about it.
Recently I was at a new clients home, when I was in the guest bedroom I saw a small pillow she had that was made of an organic linen....and in the center was a square of mink....it was devine.
The mix of the natural material with the glamour of the mink was
so sumptuous yet so unexpected. Small touches can go a long way.
Using a fur pelt on a ghost chair is the perfect way to take a chair that is so clean to warm and cozy!
My grandmother came from Europe and used to make her own Flokati rugs, I can remember growing up and my mom had a cream flokati rug
that my grandmother had made. Style is always evolving what was old is new again.
